Please have your final for the grid projects printed off and ready to critique. No job folder required for this one. Fast and furious assignment. Please make sure you make the edits to the other assignments before they go to your portfolio. No dressing up required and no design summary. Just a simple turn in and quiet round robin critique. You will have a quick "Christmas" assignment and then Wednesday is a straight work day for the catalogue.
Your final is to create an 8 page (no less - can be 12) catalogue. The catalogue must be a collection of times. The front cover must have a business that you make up and the date. The entire catalogue must be laid out on a modular grid. Items must have a name (can have a description but not required) and a price. Must be easy to understand and find the items. The back must have a kicker image or ad for your company on half the page and postal address (stamp area, return address and address according to postal regulation. Another area to express design. Please think about how you shoot items. Look at sites like Etsy and Threadless and catalogues that you might like for inspiration on how to shoot items. Please plan on shooting over break so that way you will have material to work with early in the week for class. This project will be turned in on the final date along with a digital and online portfolio (we will go over those requirements on Monday.)
